This Year’s Theme: Semi-Hollow Guitars
The 2026 show celebrates semi-hollow guitars, with classic models like the Gibson ES-335, ES-345 and ES-355 in the spotlight, plus semi-hollows from Rickenbacker, Gretsch and Epiphone. If you love that warm, woody sound that sits somewhere between a solid body and a jazz box, this is your show.
Live Music
The Axman Band play live on stage, with Swedish rock veteran Mats Ronander as special guest. There’s a bar and light food at the venue, so you can make a full day of it.
Who Exhibits
The show is known for its mix of Scandinavian luthiers, amp builders, dealers and private sellers. Previous exhibitors include Anders Anderson Guitars, Halvans, Lundgren, Oscar Guitars, Peter Naglitsch Luthier, EBS, Woodstock Guitars, Musikborsen and Kumerle Amps.
A Show With History
The Great Scandinavian Guitarshow has been running since 1996, making it one of the longest-running guitar shows in Europe. It has the friendly, community feel of a show run by enthusiasts, with plenty of chances to talk to the people who build the instruments.
Planning a Trip From the Netherlands
There are direct flights from Amsterdam to Stockholm, and the venue is easy to reach by metro. Note that the show falls on the weekend the clocks go back in Europe, so you’ll get an extra hour of sleep.
If you’re flying with a guitar, a hard case and a quick setup before you go are a good idea. Changes in air pressure and humidity can affect the neck. We explain why in How Humidity Affects Your Guitar.
