Update: the 2026 edition took place on Sunday 22 March. Check guitarsandmore.ch for the next date.
If you’re itching for a good gear browse after a long winter, Guitars and More in Wettingen is the perfect way to start the European guitar calendar. In its ninth edition in 2026, this Swiss gathering has quietly grown into one of the friendliest and most well-rounded one-day guitar events in Europe.
What Is It?
Guitars and More calls itself an exhibition, trade fair, forum and meeting place all in one, and that’s no exaggeration. From 9:30 to 16:30, around 50 exhibitors fill the Tägi event hall in Wettingen with guitars, basses, amps, effects and accessories.
The focus is deliberately on the less familiar side of the market. Boutique luthiers, small workshops and regional brands take centre stage rather than the big names you’d find in any music shop. If you’re looking for something handmade, regional or unusual, this is a good place to look.
The Flea Market
One of the highlights is the swap-and-sell flea market, where visitors who register in advance can bring their own gear to sell. It’s a relaxed way to move on an old amp, a spare guitar or a box of pedals, and for buyers it means plenty of second-hand surprises alongside the exhibition stands.
The Programme
There’s a proper music programme all day. A keynote workshop with Swiss guitarist Jean-Pierre von Dach, with live playing, insights into his approach and practical tips, was one of the 2026 highlights. Other showcases run throughout the day, and the Blues Jam that closes the afternoon has become a tradition that keeps people around until the end.
There’s also a free gear check, where you can bring your guitar or amp for a quick diagnosis and minor adjustments. A nice touch, and a reminder that a well-adjusted guitar makes all the difference. Read why regular setups matter.

If you’re in or near Switzerland in late March, it’s an easy and very worthwhile day out.
Planning a Guitar Trip?
