For a guitar lover, few things beat a show that brings together the best players, builders and brands in one place. Guitar Summit in Mannheim, Germany, is exactly that, and it’s the biggest guitar show in Europe.

What Is Guitar Summit?
Guitar Summit is a three-day show where guitarists, luthiers, builders, brands and music lovers come together for gear, workshops, masterclasses and concerts. It covers electric and acoustic guitars, basses, amps, pedals and accessories.
It’s held every year at the Rosengarten Congress Center in Mannheim. In 2026, its eighth year, it filled four floors with hundreds of brands, two concert nights, several stages, workshops, masterclasses and clinics. It’s a celebration of the guitar as much as a trade show, and there’s something for everyone from beginners to professionals.

Guitar Summit is one of the best places in Europe to try new gear in person. Big brands and small builders bring their latest guitars, amps and pedals, so you can play and compare things you’d normally only see online.

Tips for Your Visit
- Plan ahead. Many workshops and performances happen at the same time, so check the schedule and pick your priorities.
- Try gear early. The stands get busy, so arrive early if you want quality time with a particular instrument.
- Talk to people. Exhibitors, workshop leaders and other visitors are generally happy to chat, and you never know what you’ll learn.
- Book accommodation early. Mannheim gets busy over the Summit weekend.
- Get your own guitar ready. If you’re taking your guitar to a workshop or want advice on it, make sure it’s playing well before you go.
Getting There From the Netherlands
Mannheim is in south-west Germany, about four to five hours by car from the Randstad, or a straightforward train journey via Cologne or Frankfurt. The Rosengarten is in the city centre, within walking distance of hotels and restaurants.
